Career & Credentials

Karim has more than 20 years’ experience driving change at scale, including senior roles at McKinsey, Barclays, and Lloyds Banking Group. He has advised organisations across financial services, government, technology, and retail on strategy, innovation, AI governance, and
transformation.

He is a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and a Fellow of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. He teaches the Strategy for Directors and Leadership for Directors modules as part of the IoD’s Chartered Director programme. He also serves as a non-executive director, sitting on governance, finance, audit, and risk committees.

Karim is the author of the best-selling book The 6 Enablers of Business Agility: How to Thrive in an Uncertain World, and publishes the newsletter AI in the Boardroom, read by directors and executives worldwide.

Based in London, UK, Karim is a lifelong sports enthusiast and former professional tennis player. He is passionate about the role of strategy and governance in shaping organisations that create lasting value for business and society.
